I am a college student w/bad credit and i need to get a loan for school?

I have bad credit and my parents cant cosign a loan because they have bad credit too. I have nobody else who would cosign for me. I dont know what to do now because if i dont get a loan for college I cant go. All I need for the loan is 00.00 for the whole year. I didnt any financial aid and i have maxed out the loans from the gov. I dont know what to do? If i can get a student loan with my credit who do i go through to get one?

You need to talk to your school’s financial aid adviser to see if they have any suggestions. Also, try hitting up relatives, and try searching for scholarships. you may be able to work out a payment plan with the school if you are able to work while attending school.

You may have to take a semester or two off and work two jobs and save every penny you can so that you can go back and finish. Whatever you do, finish the task. If you can’t do it the way you want, then do it the way you have to. I know that sucks as a prospect but I worked my way through. It was tough but you can do it if it is important to you.

The student loan folks, as you seem to already know, will require good credit or a credit worthy co-signer, just like anyone else lending money. Talk to the financial aid office and see if there is anything they can help you with–if not this semester then in the future.
